I had a photo shoot this morning with Cinnamon and her mother Inka, beautiful labrador retrievers. All was going well. We got nice headshots, nice body shots, lying down, sitting up, together, separate, trees in the background, lake in the background. Very, very nice little shoot.
And then, you know, I add video to my slideshow presentations so there was just that one little pesky thing to do. Get Diana and Ed to walk with Cinnamon and Inka. Just a little walk. That was great, can we do it over here? Walking away from the shore of the pond?
And that's when all hell broke loose. Cinnamon slipped the surly bonds of her leash and went duck hunting. Inka went in right after her. We were all so shocked! It wasn't too long before Inka came out but my oh my Cinnamon sure didn't want to get out of the water. We called and called, offered treats, but Cinnamon was a little more interested in the mallards and coots than our calls. She swam after them and never catching one, thankfully. It seemed like an eternity but Cinnamon finally came in. It was six minutes after she first dove in. It felt like half an hour.
Whew... an ever exciting day in the world of pet photography. And guess what? I caught it all on video. I'll show it as soon as I put my slideshow together. In the meantime, I present a few select images from Cinnamon and Inka's photo shoot.
