I volunteer to photograph adoption portraits for dogs at Shelter Hope Pet Shop at the Janss Mall in Thousand Oaks.
We had a fun day today, the volunteers and I, and hopefully the dogs, too.
We had a little assembly line going. I found this spot across the street from the mall (ironically, adjacent to the building I used to work in many moons ago) with a little slope covered in lavender lantana.
With two volunteers at a time, we were able to photograph all nine of the dogs at the pet shop that day! In less than two hours! Everyone got a nice little adoption portrait. I really enjoy working with Kim Sill and her volunteers. It's a great pet shop, very clean, and all of the dogs go to foster homes at night. It's really incredible how this organization works. And every adoption makes room for another rescued dog to begin its journey to find a home.
Now Mojo and Hero and Carl and Cooper and Cinderella and Love Bug and Monty and Puka and Cody all need homes. You have room, don't you? They're small!
